Aimee MacDonald
Saxophonist, Composer, Arranger, Musician
Aimee MacDonald is a saxophonist, composer, and arranger from Houston, Texas, where she graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She recently graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of the Pacific as a member of the Pacific Jazz Ambassadors (formerly the Brubeck Institute). MacDonald has performed at Dizzy's Club as a featured performer with the Jazz Houston Youth Orchestra and the Jazzaldia and Jazz at Marciac festivals with the Pacific Jazz Ambassadors. She has also been honored with awards such as the YoungArts merit award and a 2026 selectee of the Jazz Education Network Sisters In Jazz Combo. In her time at Pacific, she performed with artists such as Stefon Harris, Keith Brown, Elena Pinderhughes, Rodney Jones, Orrin Evans, and Brandon Woody. Her Big Band compositions and arrangements have also been performed and recorded by the Pacific Jazz Ensemble.
Aimee plans to continue her education at the University of Oregon, pursuing a master’s degree in jazz studies. Passionate about education, she plans to pursue a career in teaching and performance upon graduation.
